About Kerryn Newton
Under the leadership of CEO, Kerryn Newton, Directors Australia has operated as a board performance specialists for over 15 years. Kerryn is a nationally recognised expert on boards and governance with over 30 years’ experience working across various legal, policy and management roles in both the public and private sectors.
As a consultant, Kerryn has worked across the private, government, publicly listed and not-for-profit sectors in an extensive range of industries. Kerryn’s consulting advice is enhanced by extensive personal experience as a director on the boards of private, public sector and not-for-profit companies in diverse industries including aged care, agriculture, education, childcare, energy, property and housing. Kerryn also serves as an independent governance expert on the Nominations Committees for multiple Australian banks.
Kerryn’s leadership experience commenced at the age of 21 when she was commissioned as an officer in the Australian Army while studying law.
Kerryn is a regular media commentator and speaker on board and governance-related topics, including through her regular vlog series, ‘The Board Whisperer’.
